Ready, Set, Cat ! - Material Technology

Sengon, a type of light and bright coloured wood is used as the main and only material for this assignment. The challenge is we have to transform an estimation of 8x5x5cm Sengon wood into animals shape, any animals you'd like.

I choose a cat, well you see, I really loveeee cat :3 I picked a cute position of cat which looks like its ready for a race. Kind of a weird concept, but I like it !

Its a painting of owl, using poster colours on stone and clear spray on its surface as a finnishing. Did it for fun from during 30/10, if any of you read another article about Decoration for 30th Anniversary of Architecture Department and 10th Anniversary of Product Design Department the stone was taken from there :D

I call it as Special because 3events happening at the same time and 2 of the 3 activities are Collaboration Exhibition 30/10 Architecture & Product Design @UKDW + Earth Day @Malioboro Mall.

Today is the last day of our Collaboration Exhibition between department of Architecture and department of Product Design since Monday. It ended up along as the climax of our birthday celebration with reunion and sharing with our alumni. Happy 30/10 !

While on the other place, HMDP is at their best promoting product design with an exhibition regarding works and product made from recycled materials like newspaper, machinal gears, natural fibres, bamboo, cardboard, wood, and glass at second floor of Malioboro Mall.

Decoration for 30th Anniversary of Architecture Department and 10th Anniversary of Product Design Department

- Dekorasi Pameran Karya Bersama 30/10 Fakultas Arsitektur dan Desain UKDW -

Dalam rangka merayakan ulang tahun prodi Arsitektur yang ke-30 dan prodi Desain Produk yang ke-10, Fakultas Arsitektur dan Desain mengadakan Pameran Karya Bersama Mahasiswa dan Alumni. Kegiatan tersebut bertujuan untuk mempererat hubungan antara dosen dan mahasiswa antar prodi Arsitektur dan Desain Produk. Selain itu, kami BEM FAD ingin memeriahkan ulang tahun prodi Arsitektur yang ke-30 dan prodi Desain Produk yang ke-10 dengan berpartisipasi sebagai PIC (Person in Charge) di bagian dekorasi, dokumentasi dan pameran karya mulai dari Senin, 11 Mei - Jumat 15 Mei 2015 (Reuni Akbar).

Sabtu, 09 Mei - Minggu, 10 Mei 2015, Agape, UKDW - Rasakan bedanya pengalaman lapangan, bukan sekedar teori dan omong doang. Dari sinilah kita bisa belajar banyak tentang kerjasama dari prodi-prodi dalam satu jurusan hehe belajar saling mengagumi juga.

Kotak Tissue Kayu (Wooden Tissue Box) - Teknologi Bahan (Material Technology)

Tampak Atas Produk Kotak Tissue

Wooden Tissue Box merupakan salah satu tugas harian mata kuliah Teknology Bahan 2 yang mempelajari tentang sifat dan sambungan pada kayu. Produk dibuat oleh Sebastiao Rudolfo dan Chintia.

Material yang digunakan untuk produk tersebut adalah Kayu Sengon batangan yang dibeli dengan harga sekitar Rp. 10.000,00 / 3m di daerah Timoho, Yogyakarta. Sambungan yang digunakan berupa puzzle square (ekor burung kotak) dan campuran lem kayu + serbuk kayu sebagai dempul untuk meratakan bagian sambungan yang belum rata.
