Caterpillar Puzzle Stool - Product Design 1

After trying to turn line into sheet, we're trying to change a 2D form (sheet) into a 3D form (has volume). It was a challenge to make a stool out of cardboard which is strong enough to hold up to 120kg of weight.
Scale of 1:5 Model - Puzzle

Puzzle Concept
Anyway I did my best after the break up, and here's the (I don't think) brilliant concept of mine about the puzzle continuation between one and another stool. What do you think ?

Final Mock-Up (back)
Final Mock-Up (styling)

After completing the product, its' now ready to be tested on user based on their weight (challenge : the heavier it can holds on, the stronger it is)

W:54kg, H:178cm
W:55kg , H:169cm
W:62kg, H:152cm
W:117kg, H:176cm
After testing on users, I've analyzes the ergonomic of the product, if it is comfortable enough to sit on this stool while working in the studio. According from a few users I've interviewed, there were a few comments about the structure in contact with user was to fragile, should have add more "cushion" to make it more comfortable. The height is perfect to form 90' angle for the knee to rest on the floor according to users. The width is using the anthropometry p95, which is more recommended for user until 120kg.

3D Luna Moth Kite / Layangan Ngengat 3D - Nirmana 2

Trying to make it fly

Final Product - Final Height (LOL)
Guess I'm not really good at this kind of thing, the whole idea of inspiration was mine, and the making of construction was my partner's, Antonius Ade. Inspired from a type of huge giant Moth, called Luna Moth. Well, it was kinda a failure, the kite was made of plastics and the continuation was great tho' but never mind, let's skip this part :x Tugas Tengah Semester 2 (Nirmana 2) - B+ (May, 2014)

Waterlily Head-wear from Newspaper - Nirmana 1

Final Product
Inspired by the death of a friend's turtoise and shape admirance of water lily's leaf, I added up lotus which symbolize how the two idea connected to each other.

Waterlily leaf, as a coverage like a hat
Origami Lotus made from newspaper and poster colour spray (purple)
Last Step
A head-wear made from newspapers inspired from water plants - waterlily and lotus.

Final Product (top view)
"what goes round comes around". Playing with the colour from the newspaper is so much fun too, the lotus origami defines the meaning by its colour. I think it's fun how are we so capable in combining several techniques to support each other and ended up as a product.

I was blank about design product at that time, it was in 2013, 2 years ago. And there I was alone in Incubator Business trying to change the whole concept into a better minimized costume for the model, Erinna. Tugas 1 (Nirmana 1) - A. (September, 2013)
